Home page Calendar Staff roster Useful links Photo gallery Frequently asked questions How does it work? | Frequently asked questions Question: Does a content management system make sense for all web sites? Answer: Content management can be used for any site. If your web site is the electronic equivalent of a short brochure and you do not expect to change it very often, it probably doesn't make sense to set up a content management system. If you want to be able to keep your web site up-to-date - adding events to a calendar, useful links to other sites, etc. - you will find that a content-management-based site is more expensive to set up at first, but that it will be dramatically easier - and cheaper - to maintain in the long run. Question: Can content management be used on a Flash web site? Answer: Yes. Flash is used to animate web sites. It can be integrated into a content management system - your up-to-date information can dance across the screen, if you like. |
